BRAWLDLE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the personal data of users who visit https://brawldle.app (the "Website") is processed.

The data controller complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR"), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD) and Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI).

Data controller

What data is processed

You do not need to create an account or provide any personal data to play Brawldle. The Website has no forms, comments or newsletter. The following data is processed:

  • Technical connection data (IP address, browser user agent, date and time of the request), which is necessarily processed by the hosting provider to deliver the pages and protect the Website against attacks and abuse.
  • Game progress (your guesses for the day, whether you solved each mode and your times). This is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) so you don't lose your progress when reloading. It is never sent to us, and it becomes obsolete automatically every day.
  • Anonymous game statistics. When you solve a mode, your browser tells our server which mode was solved and whether you completed all of them, so we can show how many players solved it before you. Only aggregated daily counters are stored; no identifier of you or your device is saved.
  • Browsing and advertising data collected through cookies and similar technologies by Google Analytics and Google AdSense (see below), such as pages visited, approximate location, device type or interactions with ads.
  • Your email address and the content of your message, if you write to us by email.

No special categories of personal data (health, ideology, etc.) are processed.

Purposes and legal basis

  • Serving the Website and keeping it secure (technical connection data): legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Saving your game progress in your browser: it is strictly necessary to provide the service you request, so under Art. 22.2 LSSI it does not require consent.
  • Anonymous game statistics: they do not identify you. Insofar as the request involves your IP address reaching the server, the basis is the legitimate interest in offering this feature of the game (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Audience measurement (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense): your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR and Art. 22.2 LSSI). You can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
  • Answering your emails: your consent when you write to us, and our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6.1.a and 6.1.f GDPR).

Recipients and service providers

Your data will not be sold or transferred to third parties, except where required by law. The following providers process data on behalf of the Website or as independent controllers:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting of the Website and of the statistics server). Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) for users in the European Economic Area, and Google LLC elsewhere. It uses cookies to help us understand how the Website is used. How Google Analytics protects your data.
  • Google AdSense, provided by the same Google entities. It uses cookies to show ads, which may be personalised according to your interests if you consent, and to measure their performance. How Google uses cookies in advertising.
  • Google Fonts, provided by Google, which serves the typefaces of the Website. Your browser connects to Google's servers to download them, so Google receives your IP address.

You can check how Google handles your data in the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

International data transfers

Some of these providers (Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc.) are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred there. These companies are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission considers to provide an adequate level of protection, and they also use the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission.

Cookies and local storage

The Website stores the following information in your device:

  • brawldle:progress:v1 (localStorage, first party): your progress for the day. Necessary for the game to work.
  • _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics, up to 2 years): distinguish visits and sessions for statistics.
  • Google AdSense advertising cookies (for example __gads, __gpi, IDE): show and measure ads and prevent fraud.

You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings, and opt out of personalised ads in Google Ads Settings or of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. If you delete the local storage you will lose your progress for the day.

Retention period

  • Game progress: in your browser until you delete it; it is replaced every day.
  • Anonymous statistics: kept indefinitely, as they are aggregated counters that do not identify anyone.
  • Google Analytics data: for the retention period configured in Google Analytics, after which it is deleted automatically.
  • Emails: for as long as needed to handle your request, and afterwards for the period in which legal liabilities could arise.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Request its rectification or erasure.
  • Request the restriction of its processing.
  • Object to its processing.
  • Request its portability.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise them, send an email to [email protected] stating which right you want to exercise. We may only ask you for additional information to confirm your identity if there are reasonable doubts about it. We will reply within one month.

Keep in mind that the Website does not store information that allows us to identify you (your game progress is only in your browser and the statistics are anonymous), so in most cases the data concerning you is held by Google; you can manage it directly from your Google account.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Minors

Brawldle is a game suitable for all ages, but under Spanish law (Art. 7 LOPDGDD) only people aged 14 or over can consent to the processing of their personal data. If you are under 14, ask your parent or guardian before accepting analytics or advertising cookies. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Security

The controller applies reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or destruction. All communications with the Website are encrypted (HTTPS).

This Privacy Policy may be updated to adapt it to legal changes or to new features of the Website. Any change will be published on this page with its update date.
